RAISIN CITY BOOK FAIR
2024-2025 School Year

RAISIN CITY BOOK FAIR
Scholastic Book Fair has been scheduled for:
October 11 - 14, 2024

MISSION AND VISION

The mission of The Raisin City Library is to assist students in the development of skills necessary for independent lifelong learning. Emphasis will be placed on the appreciation and enjoyment of literature as well as the motivation of reading for pleasure and for information. We strive to provide a rich environment full of information and technology. This will be made possible by:

  • Providing access to resources in a variety of formats;
  • Providing a variety of reading materials that will collaborate with what is being taught in the classroom, for research, and for pleasure;
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to design learning strategies to meet the needs of the students;
  • Encourage and involve parents in the development of skills with the students, to be lifelong learners, become enthusiastic readers, and to be able to properly use technology to receive data and communication.

This year I would like to see the students and staff become effective users of information from a variety of books and media, become enthusiastic readers, and skilled in the use of technology to retrieve data and communicate.
