PBIS
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support simply called PBIS consists of rules, routines, and physical arrangements that are developed and taught by school staff to prevent initial occurrences of behavior that the Raisin City PBIS team has chosen to target for change.
The matrix that the PBIS team has created sets up the behavior expectations for all students in all areas of the school; the classroom, the bathrooms, the office, the hallways, the library and computer lab, the cafeteria, and the playground or outside.
The PBIS team is very excited to see the students of Raisin City respond so positively to the PBIS matrix also known as CLAW. CLAW means Courage, Loyal, Abiding, and Willing. Over the last school year the students have learned about these four areas and have embraced the use of the matrix in all areas.
The CLAW matrix will be used in connection to Raisin City's Discipline Code.
